MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1987 film?

During the holiday season in Washington is found the body of a woman murdered. It also produces the suicide of a Supreme Court Justice. These two cases, in principle unrelated. The murder of the woman is accused a beggar, a Vietnam veteran, and his defense is also assigned to the public defender Kathleen Riley, also exhausted by their work, I thought to take a vacation.
