MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1946 film?

A police officer, Joe Warne, investigates the murder of a composer Keith Vincent. The clear evidence led to believe that it is a suicide and the police closed the case. Joe, in contrast, does not believe the official version and decided to continue the research on your own interviewing ten women who occupied Vincent's life, as they all had reason to kill him. A remake called Nocturne (2004) was made based on this movie.
