MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2001 film?

1860, Sicily. Captain Loyola, about to leave the army of the Bourbons to somehow return to France, is ordered to escort a prisoner from Palermo to Messina. Unification of Italy. First he refuses to fulfill this mission, but instead when he learns who the prisoner accepts. Grifone is a human being who, three years earlier, had stolen his girlfriend Angelica wedding day.
