MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1957 film?

Following a wild night, the adulterous wife Charleen wealthy Michael Reston, arrives home with her tattered dress. She tells her husband that she was sexually assaulted and Reston, angry, man discovers and kills him. James Blane, famous criminal lawyer, whose own marriage to Diane's just a formality, arrives at Desert View, Nevada to take the defense of Reston and finds that the local people and the Sheriff Nick Hoak, violent and politically powerful, are clearly hostile towards Reston. However, while there Hoak Blane knows who, however being himself a local celebrity, what flatters it is famous and even makes a confidence. When judgment comes, Blane uses this confidence to challenge the testimony of Hoak making a fool on the stand. Because of this, Reston is acquitted. Hoak was setting her up to come Blane who is accused of bribing a jury case. Blane soon discovers that a quiet community in the desert can be deadly.
