MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1958 film?

In 1952 Saigon is caught between a corrupt government and French colonial communist uprising. A young American idealist believes in a Third Force as an option between colonialism and communism, but the cynical English journalist Thomas Fowler only concerned about the growing American interest in his Vietnamese mistress. Jealousy and ideological tensions will push Fowler finally to abandon his skepticism. A remake called El americano impasible (2002) was made based on this movie.
