MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1944 film?

Quizz West and Janet Feller are a loving couple whose plans for the future are dashed by the forced recruitment of Quizz when the United States entered World War II. Intended for the Philippines, after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Quizz is trapped on a small island and desolate, where he and his fellow soldiers, suffering diseases and other penalties. Only Janet letters sent from the United States maintains its will to live.
