MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1995 film?

Erik, a thirteen years old, and his mother move to a new home in Minnesota. The boy feels like a fish out of water and has difficulty, in short, find friends, until Dexter knows also a smaller boy who lives in the house next door. Erik and Dexter get along very well, however on the other hand one day Erik's mother forbids him closer to his partner as he learns a few years ago got AIDS because of a negligent blood transfusion liquid.
