MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1940 film?

A scientist found the cure for polio, a disease that affects a young lady. But as feedstock requires human spinal fluid, so the appearance of a wild gorilla that has escaped from a circus, offers opportunity to be a disguise for their raw material and avoid suspicion. A remake called Simiosis (2005) was made based on this movie.
