MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1994 film?

Gene is a policeman, but also a writer. One day he receives an invitation from his attractive new neighbor, Tory, to have dinner together. When Gene goes home is horrified that Tory has been brutally murdered. His teammate and fellow police department, Larry, helps you investigate the crime. The next morning, arriving at the station, Gene finds that such a crime exists only in his imagination. Even his partner Larry knows nothing of what Gene thinks he saw. Obsessed with the investigation, Gene discovers that an actress of the physical characteristics of Tory died two years ago in a traffic accident. What's going on ? Is there a conspiracy against Gene? A remake called Pasado presente (2006) was made based on this movie.
