MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2010 film?

By 1993, the Paraguayan artist Enrique Collar painted a work called " Novena ", for the nine days of prayer, in the interior of their country devout, are observed at the death of a loved one. Now go back to that landscape frozen in time since its humble, tanned people to make them tell a story that takes place during the ninth. John is a craftsman, a " poet of the earth" gesture hardened by the rigors of life in the field, who lives in a modest home on the edge of the path. As the eldest son of a mother widow had to take care of her for years, postponing his own aspirations. The death of the wife and the nine days of prayers will catalyze the long wait of John: is perhaps the last chance to turn the pain of loss in a freedom that, fatally, take the form of uprooting. With documentary rigor, however without neglecting aesthetics pictorial naturally ? ? For long shots, made wisely ? ? Ninth illuminates some of the many contradictions, dreams and anxieties of Paraguay today.
