MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1954 film?

1928. At first, the unorthodox teaching methods of the new teacher and also a modern city girl vision cause some suspicion in the community despite all this children and adults soon fall under its irresistible charm. In the idyllic rural island Shodoshima, the young, bright and motivated teacher Hisaki Oishi starts for the first time his work as a teacher in charge of twelve children of primary, twenty innocent and endearing eyes that even in its first year will look formative school. Over the years, the impending war will change their lives forever somewhat.
