MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1979 film?

London, 1888. In the district of Whitechapel are a series of violent and bloody crimes that have something in common: the victims are always murdered prostitutes in dark alleys. The murderer will soon be known as Jack the Ripper. In Baker Street, Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. Watson begin to investigate on their own the horrible crimes that have terrorized the city. Although Scotland Yard chief rather not, has no choice but to ask for help to solve the case. As time passes, the murderer also attacks people of high society, and finds a mysterious conspiracy involving Freemasons and members of the royal family.
