MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1950 film?

Documentary that follows the expedition called " Kon -Tiki ". That was the name of the raft used by Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl in his 1947 expedition across the Pacific Ocean from South America to Polynesia. Heyerdahl claimed that people from South America could have reached Polynesia and pre-Columbian times. Heyerdahl's purpose was to demonstrate the possibility that the peopling of Polynesia had been carried out by sea from South America on rafts identical to that used during the expedition and moved only by the tides, currents and wind.
