MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1952 film?

Kanji Watanabe is an old public servant who carries a monotonous life and gray, doing practically nothing. However, it is not aware of the emptiness of his existence until one day you are diagnosed with an incurable cancer. With the certainty that the end of his days approaching, arises in him the need to look for a meaning to life.
