MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2010 film?

Germany, 1989: The Wall falls, people are in ecstasy, all Berlin is one big party. Veit also very happy: with his money he wants to travel to San Francisco, the westernmost point on the planet. At least that tells his best mate Tom, who is joined in this great adventure. But really, Veit looking for his father, who was banished to the United States as a child. Only a group of postcards that come to Veit for every birthday from an office in San Francisco testify to its existence. In three weeks it will be again Veit's birthday, and do not want to miss this reunion. But money reaches them only to New York, is a cold winter and the boys do not get very far either with the only word they know in English: "friendship ".
