MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1998 film?

John Murdoch awakens alone in a strange hotel and found to have lost his memory and is touted as the author of a number of sadistic and brutal murders. While trying to put together the pieces of the puzzle of his past, he discovers an underworld inhabited by beings known as " hidden " that have the ability to lull people and disrupt the town and its inhabitants. This film is a remake of Ciudad en sombras (1950), the remakes are new versions of the same story.
