MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1982 film?

When a pair of unscrupulous murderers in prison managed to escape, leaving behind an ugly trail of murders, the surly detective Jack Cates has no other choice but to take the hustler Reggie Hammond from prison to help find the criminals. But will have only 48 hours before Hammond must return to prison.
