The king prepared a campaign and Valdemar sends his son to a solitary castle, where the powerful bishop Eskil keeps virtual prisoner. Valdemar his escape escapes and joins him Aske teenager. The two boys fleeing through the woods and discover that a group of armed horsemen is hatching a conspiracy against the King.
