MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1913 film?

Protéa is the last film directed by Victorin-Hippolyte Jasset, one of the very early film pioneers in France. The hero with this movie is women spy, an acrobatic Mata-Hari, played by his favorite actress, Josette Andriot, whom wore a characteristic costume of a close-fitting black jersey, 2 yrs before Musidora attained cult status along with her similar appearance as Irma Vep. This final masterpiece reflects Jasset's popular style: rhythmic action, fantastic realism, rich visuals, an anarchistic philosophy, a disdain for therapy, and an attention to lighting that won him the nickname ?the Rembrandt associated with the cinema'. Although Jasset passed away soon after conclusion, the movie had considerable success and Andriot proceeded in order to make four more movies within the series with other directors.
