MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1931 film?

Marian Martin is a humble village girl who comes to the big city to find work and, hopefully, a husband with a good social and economic position. Mark Whitney is an enthusiastic young attorney who is also a promising future in politics. Marian and Mark become lovers, but they can not marry because that would negatively affect Mark's candidacy for governor. Then she, to avoid scandal, assumes a false identity in order to continue the romance. A remake called Poseído (2000) was made based on this movie.
