MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1957 film?

Tiercelin Pierre is a young Frenchman who has lived for many years in the U.S. He returns to his homeland, supposedly to avenge those he holds responsible for the death of his father. Three subsequent crimes, the police inspector Paul Meurisse arrest the exalted Pierre. Case closed ? ? Not likely: the inspector suspects that Pierre is really a scapegoat of a very clever murderer.
