MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1981 film?

The plot is set during the fifties, during the cult of personality of Stalin. The story begins in a village in provinces where Tomek's father, a former member of the Army is arrested, so his mother is left with the task of raising her two children without help. In the upstairs neighbor commits suicide when her husband is also arrested and sent to prison.
